Grandma Notes: Our Little Miracle

As many of you know, Jordyn had surgery earlier this summer to remove a non-cancerous brain tumor. She wasn’t making any attempt to crawl or walk so her doctor decided to do a MRI just to rule out anything there. What they discovered was a tumor that was about the size of a tennis ball. It was elongated and lay between the skull and the brain. They scheduled surgery to remove it right away.

Since the surgery (about a month & a half) she has made huge strides! Dana says she eats everything in site, she’s talking up a storm, imitating everything she sees or hears and she’s starting to pull her self up on couches and walks holding onto your fingers! In short…

She’s our miracle girl!

Is it a pig? A rat? Oh… it’s a doglet!

This past summer, we were on route through the Crow and Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservations in southeastern Montana, pulled along-side US Hwy 212 switching drivers. Kevin had taken Harley out for a “walk” (more like a stall and smell for Harley) when this car pulls up and says… “is that a pig or a puppy!?!” We had a good laugh about that one and still are come to think of it!

We have often looked at our rotund little dog and thought he looked like a pig, or a rat… sometimes like a dog! So here are the many faces of our little doglet:

I'll be a pig or a puppy... just don't wake me up!

Ahhhh.... it's a good life!
